Too easily pleased

Psalm 16:11

You will show me the path of life for In Your Presence there is fullness of joy and at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Church last Sunday was epic, to reiterate one of the messages shared… Revival has a cost.

I’ve come to realize that so does everything else. There’s always an opportunity cost for what we chose to pursue. The thing is that we sometimes don’t feel the costs because we do not clearly understand what we have given up.

I personally have pursued and chosen so many things that have jeopardized my relationship with God, cause you know they were a bit more pleasurable as far as I could tell. They instantly ticked my flesh but left my spirit wanting. For so long there’s been a divide between what is truly ‘fun’ and what is spiritual.

Those who have spent more than 5 seconds in the Presence of God are persuaded differently. I.e David in this Psalm. He says that there is fullness of Joy, that we can experience joy to its fullest when we bask in the Presence. Then he continues to say there are pleasures forevermore.. The pleasure of being with Him has no expiration date!!

I think that the cost would be easier to pay if we understood what we’re buying into.

Prayer: Dad we are eternally ever so grateful that you are the pillar that has held our lives together. Our strong tower wherewith we find salvation and deliverance for our souls. We love that about you but there’s a side to you that we haven’t fully grasped. We pray that You reveal yourself as our jubilee. That your Presence may be the place for the rejoicing of our souls. Your blessings make rich and add no sorrow. May we experience in you the richness of life that comes with no regrets. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
