My I love you is like I’ve swallowed a million butterflies & my stomach now cages their fluttering wings.
It’s an ocean trapped in a bucket,
A tornado hid in my closet.
It is time suspended outside of space.
My, I love you is my heart stomping to the sound of your absence,
My lungs failing for the scent of your closeness.
It is the sun shoved under my bed.
My I love you is all those butterflies stuck in my throat, that ocean sipping through my hands and that tornado steaming through my ears. It is time running through my veins and that sun beaming through my eyes.
It is all the things I can not say. The tears I cannot cry, the things I’d never hear you say, the moments I cannot freeze. It’s all the emotions that my eyes capture in snippets, look into my eyes.
